Posted by As you know, I am a traveler, I love to visit and explore new places! But the city of Krakow has that something that I wanted to go there once again and renew my memories. On top of that, I found super cheap tickets and for the price of 40 PLN I could already elegantly take a one-way flight! I love such offers and such spontaneous trips!
Today, however, I wanted to share with you about my personal search and experiences with the accommodation and catering that Krakow brings us. I value comfort and convenience, so I decided to create a little guide for those who are going to travel here and want to be 100% satisfied.
The airport and transport
The airport has very well developed communication with the city center. There are several ways to get to and from the airport. There is something for everyone.
By bus:
The Krakow Balice Airport, which is located 11 km from Krakow, can be reached by public transport buses. There are three daily bus lines to Krakow Airport: 208, 209 ,252, and a night line: 902.
By train:
There is also a train stop at the airport from where trains to the city center depart periodically. The journey takes about 17 minutes. Transfers to Krakow Airport are served by modern trains of Koleje Małopolskie Sp. z o.o.
By car:
You can easily get to the airport by driving your own car through Krakow. There are many signposts directing us to the A4 freeway, and the closer to the freeway there are signs directing us to the airport.
Cab and other private drivers:
The official cab service is Krakow Airport Taxi. However, there are many other companies offering their services, both in terms of transport and sightseeing tours. For those who appreciate comfort and elegance, I recommend Krakow Direct transfer. You can also immediately ask the driver about sightseeing tours organized by JTP Group, when a knowledgeable guide, in a language that’s comfortable for us, will precisely present the most interesting corners of the city and its attractions.
Accommodation and relaxation

OLD NEW Apartments
These apartments are located in two locations- on Szczepanski street near the main square and on Krasinskiego street. They were very well designed and have a beautiful, designer interior. They are also very well equipped. Each apartment has a bathroom with shower and a kitchenette with a dishwasher, fridge, hob and kettle. It is possible to purchase an option with breakfast.
Aparthotel Old Town
My next suggestion is a four-star Aparthotel Stare Miasto located at Gołębia Street. Located in a historic building, full of wooden elements and brick walls, which give it an amazing atmosphere. What I like the most is a two-level suite with a huge bed, a wonderful mezzanine and a huge bathtub with hydro-massage. Although it is known that not everyone can afford such luxuries.
The LOFT Hotel
Another elegant proposal is a four-star boutique hotel, located on Dietla Street. The Loft Hotel, however, is designed for adult guests only. It is housed in a building with a loft character and offers Suite, De Luxe and Classic rooms, designed in a modern style. On the roof of the hotel there is a jacuzzi with a view of the Old Town.
UNICUS PALACE
Unicus Palace is a luxury hotel in the capital of Malopolska, located just a few minutes from the center of the Old Town, with excellent cuisine and SPA & Wellness zone. Excellent choice for a few days of sightseeing in Krakow and all kinds of business meetings. And that cuisine! Breakfast dishes in Unicus Palace and proposals of European cuisine with a touch of Polish tradition are culinary top in hotels in Poland. In such beautiful surroundings, in the heart of Krakow, a relaxing weekend or a family holiday will be unforgettable.
GARDEN SQUARE HOTEL
Quite new on the hotel map of Krakow. Four-star, elegant and modern Garden Square Hotel is located in the southern part of Krakow, in Lagiewniki district. Only 20 minutes drive separates the hotel from the Balice Airport and the Wawel Royal Castle. This versatile location makes it a very good address for tourists wishing to explore the city’s main attractions as well as a great place for business meetings or occasional family events. Those in need of relaxation can enjoy the sauna, and a sip of endorphins will provide a gym.
Sheraton Grand Krakow
The last alternative I checked was the Sheraton Grand Krakow – the first hotel in Poland under the Sheraton Grand brand awarded thanks to its unique location and outstanding quality of service. Located on the banks of the Vistula River, in close proximity to Wawel Castle, it guarantees an amazing view of the Vistula Boulevards. It is only a 10-minute walk from the Main Square, Kazimierz and the most important attractions of Krakow.
